For What Does NIO Automotive Manufacture Cell Phones? What Is UWB Digital Key in Patent Law?

According to CBN (China Business Network), N2301 cell phones made by NIO Automotive went through the network access application process with MIIT (the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology). This was confirmed on MIIT’s official website. NIO’s CEO stated that NIO manufactured cell phones in order to have its own terminal for UWB Digital Key applications that interconnected its cars and cell phones in a way that would not be restricted by cell phone manufacturers. Based on the above information, I analyzed current patent applications relating to Apple, Huawei, Samsung and UWB Digital Key and studied opportunities and challenges that NIO could have as an automotive and cell phone manufacturer..........................More
